If you are someone that is all about flavor, Pu-Erh may be the tea for you. Picked and fermented in the Yunnan province of China, Pu-Erh has it's own unique taste because of a microbial fermentation process after they have been dried and rolled. This makes the leaves darken and changes the flavor and color the longer it's fermented like a fine wine.
Because of this process, Pu-Erh steeps extremely dark, almost like coffee, and has the highest caffeine amount (but still 1/3 the amount of coffee). But its biggest benefit may be the way it holds flavor. Adding homemade Vanilla extract and Hawaiia grown vanilla bean to the blend, gives you a rich taste that is the perfect substitute for coffee!
